Obama Apprehensive About Obamacare

By

President Obama admits to wealthy donors at a private party that he has qualms about the Supreme Court ruling on his 2010 Affordable Health Care Act, which stipulates, among other things, that an individual must purchase health insurance or be subjected to fines.

Bloomberg reported Thursday that two of the guests (who remain anonymous) admitted that in a private fund-raiser dinner party on May 14in in Manhattan, president Obama said that if the Supreme Court does not uphold the Affordable Health Care Act, Obama will have to revise some of its provisions.

However, Obama Spokesman Jay Carney told Bloomberg reporters "While I won't discuss in detail the president's private conversations, I can say that your reporting, attributed to unnamed sources, inaccurately reflects the president's views."

The Affordable Health Care Act 2010, better known as Obamacare was signed by the president in March of 2010. The federal statute has been a point of conflict ever since due to some of its provisions which many states consider unconstitutional.

As of now 28 States have challenged the bill arguing that the individual mandate provision which stipulates individuals to purchase health insurance or incur penalties is not in the domain of congress' taxation authority.

The Supreme Court will be ruling on the Affordable healthcare Act 2010 this month.
