James Dougherty had an extraordinary year in 2011, advising Goodrich in its acquisition by UTC ($18.4 billion), Lubrizol in its acquisition by Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway ($9.7 billion), and Cliffs Natural Resources in its acquisition of Thompson Iron Mines ($4.9 billion).
Andy Levine has worked on a number of the Firm's most significant M&A transactions during his career, including the Sprint-Nextel merger-of-equals ($46.5 billion); R.H. Donnelley's acquisitions of Dex Media ($9.8 billion), Sprint's directory business ($2.23 billion), and the directory business of SBC ($1.42 billion); WL Ross & Co.'s acquisition of Burlington Industries in a bankruptcy buyout ($614 million); and Spectrum Brands' combination with Russell Hobbs ($3.3 billion).
