Baker & McKenzie Acts For Siemens On UK Energy Sector Deal

Baker & McKenzie has advised Siemens Energy on the acquisition of the Connectors and Measurements Division of Expro Holdings UK, a company specializing in the oil and gas industry, for Euro470 million. The equipment manufactured by Expro forms a crucial part of the power grid that Siemens is currently developing for use on the sea bed at depths of down to 3,000 meters.

The Siemens Energy Sector is the world's leading supplier of a complete spectrum of products, services and solutions for power generation in thermal power plants and using renewables, power transmission in grids and for the extraction, processing and transport of oil and gas.

Expro Holding operates globally in all the major hydrocarbon producing areas, employing more than 4,500 people in 50 countries.

Baker & McKenzie worked together with the Siemens in-house legal team, including Dr. Christian Zentner (Head of Legal M&A Energy), Lars Stelling (Senior Counsel M&A), Seema Sodhi (Senior Counsel M&A), Dr. Tatiana Levina (Legal Counsel IP M&A), Saar Dierckens (Legal Counsel Competition Law).
