As the year is winding down, fans of "The Bold and the Beautiful" are in for some major twists and turns in the character lineup of the CBS soap opera.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, one of the old characters in the series will possibly be making a comeback. The site reported that the popular character of Macy Alexander will possibly be returning in the series.

The character of Macy was killed off in 2003 when a chandelier fell on her and she slipped in a coma. However, it was only implied that she died, but it was never confirmed. It can be recalled that she was one of Brooke Logan's rivals and was also married to Deacon Sharpe.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry also reported that actress Bobbie Eakes, who previously portrayed the character of Macy, expressed her interest of reprising the role. Although CBS has not approached her yet, she revealed her enthusiasm for the possibility.

"They never had a funeral - you never saw my character dead. So I think there is a big, giant loophole that someone could drive a truck through if they wanted," dished Eakes to CBS Soaps in Death as per report by the site.

Meanwhile, fans are still buzzing about Kimberly Matula's exit from the television series. Matula played the role of Hope Logan in the soap opera.

According to Soap Opera Network, show creator Bradley Bell revealed that the character of Hope will continue to be seen on "The Bold and the Beautiful" despite Matula's leaving.

"Hope Logan is a critical and central character to the show. Hope will continue to be on the show. We're losing Kim Matula, who is a brilliant actress, and I am hoping, at some point, she will return in the role - but the role will continue," said Bell.

As of the moment, there is still no confirmation as to who will be replacing Matula In the television series.
