Judge deem one of the 'Slender Man' Stabbing underage suspects mentally incompetent for trial

By

On Friday, a judge assigned in a court hearing about the mental capacity of one of the two minors who was charged in stabbing their fellow classmate to please a scary Internet character has declared the underage suspect incapable of standing trial for their crimes, NBC News said. Moreover, the judge also issued an order for the child to be subject for treatment, and will have a year for attorneys to prepare her mental state to be able to face the court for trial.

It has been made known that the judge's decision reflected on the reports he received from two doctors who have examined the minor and hearing from her attorneys about her case. According to one of the attorneys, he believed his client is mentally ill and that a priority at this point would be to move her case to the juvenile court from an adult court.

The two girls who were accused of attacking their classmate for "Slender Man," a mysterious online character often wearing suits and is stick-figured and has no face, has been initially recommended to be tried in an adult court due to their crimes. Moreover, the state of Wisconsin also allows the girls to be tried as adults as they are above 10 years of age.

GlobalNews.ca said that one of the girls have admitted to police that they acted as "proxies" for the online character they have come to learn from the popular user-created short horror stories Creepypasta.com, and that they have planned the attack to be able to garner attention from Slender Man to run away to his forest mansion. The victim had received a whopping 19 stab wounds from the attack, with one nearly missing a major artery near her heart by just one millimeter, doctors have told. Although the victim is in stable condition, she will be treading a long road to fully recover from the ordeal.

The names of the victim has not been named for privacy reasons. Majority of the news outlets have chosen to not name the underage suspects due to their ages.
