The youth wing of the Swedish Liberal Party has voted on the legalization of necrophilia and incest claiming that such practices should not be outlawed simply by the basing on the fact that it is viewed as disgusting by the society. The proposal was not supported by members of the mother party.
The party's youth wing voted on the motion during their annual meeting that took place on Sunday. According to Independent, the motion suggested to repeal existing laws to legalize necrophilia and consensual sex between two siblings over the age of 15.
Liberal Youth Leader Cecilia Johnsson stated that they view such move to legalizing necrophilia and incest as a progressive step for the country. "We are a youth organization and one of our task is to think one step further", Johnsson said as reported by Info Wars. "I understand that it can be seen as unusual and disgusting but legislation can not be based on it being disgusting", she added.
The Youth Leader also added that they do not agree with morality laws claiming that it does not protecting anyone. Per Mail Online, The Swedish Liberal Party Youth Wing asserted that siblings should be allowed to have sex granting that it is consensual and both are over the age of 15.
They also stated that having sex with the dead should be legalized if a written consent was secured from the person before death. The party's youth wing argued that an individual should be allowed to decide how their bodies will be treated even after death whether it is for science or for their loved ones.
However such proposal did not receive support from Former Liberal MP Carl B Hamilton who called them 'nitwits'. "Surely, you must understand that people are lauging at your liberalism, you nitwits? And what other challenges facing society is on the top 100-list for Stockholm's Liberal Youth? Sex with hippos?", Hamilton stated through Facebook.
The central party who stated through spokesperson Adam Alfredsson that such proposals were nothing like the mother party endorses, and maintained that incest and necrophilia should still be considered illegal.
